Privacy Policy

ZenninOut collects nothing. This page explains what that means in practice.

Last updated: 27 August 2026

The short version

ZenninOut has no account system and contains no analytics, advertising or third-party SDKs. Everything you do in the app stays on your iPhone. The only network traffic is Apple's own App Store handling your subscription — we cannot see your practice history, your moods or your journal, because none of it is ever sent anywhere.

What is stored, and where

Your completed sessions, mood check-ins, journal entries, favourites, saved sound mixes and settings are written to this app's private folder on your device. That folder is covered by iOS app sandboxing and by your device passcode or biometric lock.

If you have iCloud Backup switched on for your iPhone, that folder may be included in your encrypted device backup, in the same way as any other app's data. That backup is between you and Apple; we have no access to it.

No network

All audio — binaural beats, brown, pink and white noise, rain, ocean, stream, wind, fire, birds, crickets and singing bowls — is synthesised on your device in real time. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is streamed; playback behaves identically in airplane mode. The one exception to "no network" is the subscription itself: purchases and renewals are handled by Apple's StoreKit, which talks to the App Store. We run no servers and receive nothing from that exchange beyond Apple's anonymous receipt.

Apple Health

Apple Health is optional and is never requested when you first open the app. If you turn it on in Settings, ZenninOut writes your completed sessions as mindful minutes, and reads heart-rate variability and resting heart rate so the app can show them alongside your practice.

Health data is read and written through Apple's HealthKit on your device only. It is never transmitted, and it is never used for anything other than what is displayed to you inside the app. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS Health app, under Sharing.

Notifications

Reminders are optional. If you allow them, they are scheduled locally by iOS on your device. No reminder is ever sent from a server, because there is no server.

What we do not do

No account, no sign-up, no password. No analytics or crash reporting. No advertising and no ad identifiers. No third-party SDKs. No tracking across apps or websites. No data brokers. No sale or sharing of personal information, under any definition, because no personal information leaves your device.

Deleting your data

Open Journey › Settings › Your data › Delete everything. That erases your practice history, moods, journal, favourites and saved mixes immediately and irreversibly. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes the same data.

Mindful minutes previously written to Apple Health belong to Health, not to ZenninOut, and are deleted from within the Health app.

Children

ZenninOut is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect information at all.

Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold none: there is no server, no database and no account. Your data is already entirely in your possession, on your device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the updated version will be published here with a new date. Because the app collects nothing, we do not expect material changes.
